Two former UFC champions tipped the scales at 205 pounds apiece at the official weigh in for UFC 115: Liddell vs. Franklin.
Chuck Liddell and Rich Franklin received equal amounts of cheers as they each stepped onto the scale. The event scheduled for Saturday at GM Place in Vancouver, British Colombia, Canada showcases the light heavyweight bout between the two stars. Also on the card is a heavyweight fight between Mirko Cro Cop (235) vs. Pat Barry (248). All 22 fighters made weight with no problems.
Many in attendance were impressed by the new trim physique of the 40-year-old Liddell. After losing 4 out of 5 fights, Liddell took 14 months off and obviously used that time to condition himself. The Hall of Famer looked fit and every bit as ready to go as his opponent, Franklin.
Some concerns have been raised by Barry's career-high weight at 248, but critics are slow to dismiss a fighter who has shown he is fired up about this match.
